  • When do pre-orders ship?
    Book Shipping Policy for Pre-Orders At Written Wisdom Press, we offer pre-orders for upcoming book releases. When you place a pre-order, you'll be one of the first to receive the book when it becomes available. Shipping Dates Pre-orders will be shipped on or before the release date of the book. The release date is listed on our website and in the product description for each pre-order. Please note that release dates are subject to change and may be affected by factors outside of our control, such as printing delays or shipping issues. Shipping Methods We offer standard shipping for all pre-orders, which typically takes 3-5 business days within the continental United States. For international orders, shipping times may vary depending on the destination country. Shipping Fees Shipping fees for pre-orders are calculated based on the total weight of the order and the shipping destination. Shipping fees will be displayed at checkout before you confirm your order. Order Changes and Cancellations If you need to make changes to your pre-order or cancel it altogether, it must be done within 24 hours of your purchase. We will do our best to accommodate your request, but please note that we may not be able to make changes or cancellations after the order has been processed and/or shipped. Tracking Your Order Once your pre-order has shipped, we will send you a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number.   • How do I cancel an order?
    Orders can be cancelled ONLY within the first 24 hours. Note: If an item is already in process or has been shipped, we may not be able to cancel your order.
  • Can I get a refund or return my order?
    Due to the nature of our business we do not currently allow returns or offer refunds except in the event of a lost or damaged order. On occasion if there is an issue an in store credit can be processed and this is at our discretion. Contact us for more details.
  • When will my order ship?
    Typically it may take 3-6 business days for most orders to be shipped. Currently, we are not offering expedited shipping. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding during this time. For preordered titles, they will be shipped within 2-3 business days of their release date, which is indicated in your cart. Backordered items will be shipped as soon as they become available. Please note that orders are processed during our normal business hours of 9am to 4pm EST Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.

    Book Submissions ​ We are always looking for talented authors to join our publishing family. If you are interested in submitting a manuscript for consideration, please visit our submissions page for more information. There you will find if we are currently accepting manuscripts and the type of manuscripts that we are looking for at this time. We allow submission from authors and literary agents.

    Manuscript Review Timeframe At Written Wisdom Press, we receive a large number of manuscript submissions and strive to give each one the attention it deserves. We carefully review every manuscript we receive and aim to provide a response to authors as quickly as possible. However, due to the volume of submissions we receive, our review process can take several months. On average, authors can expect to receive a response from us within 3-4 months of submitting their manuscript. We understand that waiting for a response can be difficult and appreciate your patience.   • Practices to Avoid
    Please do not reach out excessively. Once your manuscript is reviewed you will receive a response. Contacting us repeatedly will not speed up the process. Please do no send manuscripts in the mail they will not be reviewed Please do not send books that have already been published. Submissions should be new unpublished manuscripts.
  • What is traditional publishing?
    As a traditional publisher, we carefully curate our selection of manuscripts and offer authors a contract, after which we handle the printing, publishing, and distribution of their books through booksellers and other retailers. We hold the exclusive rights to publish the author's work and pay them royalties based on the book's sales. We maintain a selective approach and only publish a limited number of books each year. Please note that we are not a vanity publisher and do not offer publication in exchange for payment. The traditional publishing process typically takes 18-24 months from the time of manuscript submission to book release. This timeline encompasses several stages, such as manuscript evaluation, editing, cover design, typesetting, printing, and distribution, among others. However, the exact duration may vary depending on the nature of the manuscript, current market trends, and workload of the publishing house.
